Blanket progress

Confession: I am bad at updating that widget thingy in my sidebar. See, when I launched the blanket countdown, I didn’t really think about writing a widget plugin thing so I can update it with just how many rows I’ve knit that day. Yeah, that would have made my life MUCH easier. I really do need to learn how to do advanced WordPress functionality, sometime soon. I’ve been a WordPress user since 2004, with a brief foray into Drupal from 2009-2011, so it’s sad I don’t know how to do a lot of things in good ol’ WP.

I HAVE been knitting the blanket, pretty much every day, for the past few weeks. Here’s what it looks like now.

Blanket on the couch

Yes, it’s getting BIG. So big, in fact, that I can’t take a decent picture of the entire thing without draping it over the couch.

Still, I’m digging it.

I’m also looking forward to knitting a project I can carry in my purse, instead of a project I need to stuff as much as I can into the biggest knitting bag I own (which isn’t that big). PLUS, it’s been in the 90s the past couple days here, which is not normal for coastal New Hampshire. Knitting a gigantic blanket in this weather is the stuff of someone maybe not completely with it, but hey, I’m dedicated.

I WILL get this done, if I don’t melt first.
