Break = over!

Aaand, I’m back. Did you miss me?

I took a break mainly because of one major thing; I started a new job! I’m now working as a web designer for a musical instrument retail company here in town. Notice I said ‘designer’. It’s been a change from what I had been doing for my old job, mainly development and maintaining our sites, so I’ve been adjusting to using a Mac at the office (they bought me a Mac Pro with 3GB of RAM; everything runs great and yeah, Parallels rocks!) and having Photoshop open for roughly 85% of my working days making banners and promo graphics for our sales. When I’m not playing with images, I’ve been working on converting part of the website to standards compliant CSS, which, nerdily enough, I love. I’m incredibly happy using both my creativity and my technical skills on the job, and I’ve met a lot of cool people so far too.

In other news, Scott’s wound is healing up just fine and we bought tickets to fly out to Massachusetts the weekend before Thanksgiving. And we sold my car today, so I’ll be on the lookout for a new car within the not so distant future.

Now that I’m a bit more settled into my new job, I’m hoping I update more often. I need to take a few pictures of things I’m working on, knitting-wise, and I’m hoping in general to keep up with my life on here. I’ll definitely try to make more of an effort because I like documenting the things I do in my life.

Oh yeah. Notre Dame, can you please play at least halfway decently tomorrow? At this point, I’d be happy if they at least scored an offensive touchdown tomorrow. Watching football games should not be painful.
