Easter 2013

I’m not really big into Easter.

Easter was one of those ‘get together with the family for dinner’ type of holidays when I was growing up. Since I live a couple hours from my family (and, you know, 3000+ miles away from Ted’s), we don’t really get together with anyone. Being a vegetarian on a day when most people eat ham makes food challenging, too.

This year, Ted and I made a big dinner for ourselves. We used Easter as an excuse, but since we don’t really celebrate it, it was moe a reason for us to make a Tofurky. We love Tofurky.

We also love potatoes, especially the purple kind. Purple potatoes!

Yes, there was wine. We even served it in a fancy decanter!

Brussels sprouts, potatoes, and Tofurky. Dinner of champions.

We may not have really ‘celebrated’ Easter, but we ate a damn good meal and spent the afternoon together in the kitchen, so that’s what matters to us.
