My family and I at the Cheesecake Factory

A few weekends ago I visited my family in Massachusetts. I hadn’t seen most of them since January, since before I dyed my hair blonde, so it was good to go home and see everyone. I also got to visit with my mom’s penpal from England and her family, who were visiting my folks for about a week and a half.

What did I do while out east? Played beer pong with my brother in my parents’ dining room, posed in front of Boston Harbor, got stuck in a downpour on Newbury Street, ate at the best hibachi place ever, and watched a whole lot of Olympic coverage at night when everyone else went to sleep.

What else did I do for the first time? Got off a plane after I had already boarded, due to the fact that I probably wasn’t going to be able to make my connecting flight in time and getting stranded in Detroit overnight. I chose to spend another night with my family than a night in an unfamiliar city, and flew back to South Bend early the next morning. I arrived back in town at 10 and went to work at 11:30; I don’t even know how I functioned at work that day, honestly.

All in all, I had a good time with my family. I’m hoping to go out and visit more often, but I’m not sure how feasible that will be right away. I do miss New England and I’m happy when I get to go out there.

Hi Aubrey, I found your name on the bottom of a wordpress blog called A Pretty Mess. This blog is at http://cupcakes.pandadynasty. The reason for my e-mail is I would like to know if you know Susan Welch the author of the blog called Seventy Percent of Caregivers. I would like to ask Susan something and I cannot leave a comment on the site. What I want to ask her is how long it took her to copy and paste my blog off of Blogher. I am the author of the seventy percent of caregiver blog not Susan. I don’t mind it is on the Pretty Mess page I am just concerned because it has a link to my company in it and I don’t want anyone thinking Susan wrote it I did. Sorry if this has nothing to do with you. Your name is at the bottom of this Pretty Mess page. Thank you.
