My father passed away late at night on March 19th, 2012, due to complications from his quadriplegia. It’s still pretty surreal, writing this post, as I figured he had much more time after his accident two years ago than he had.

Hey there, 2010!

Driving home to Portsmouth, 1.2.10. Happy New Year, everyone! I enjoyed my New Years immensely this year. I drove down to western Massachusetts after work Wednesday night to spend part of the weekend with my family; my sister threw an awesome New Years party and we all had an excellent time. I worked from home […]

A weekend in western Massachusetts.

This past weekend? Very, very delicious lobster (seriously, one of the tastiest lobsters I’ve ever eaten), Sam Adams Octoberfest, playing Wits and Wagers and In A Pickle with my family, running around the Boston Museum of Fine Arts trying to solve a murder mystery, raspberry truffle cheesecake, formatting my computer and installing Windows XP (yeah, […]

Thanksgiving thankfulness.

I’ve had an interesting year this year, full of ups and downs, happiness and sadness, good things and bad. In general, I’m happy with where I am right now, and I’m thankful for the many good things in my life. I live on the East Coast again. I walk through the town in which I […]

Family visit!

Carrie and I at the local Chick-Fil-A. I’ve had a busy week. This past weekend, my mother and sister flew in for a visit! My mother’s visited me here before, but this was my sister’s first trip to South Bend. I couldn’t wait to show her my favorite places and introduce her to a few […]

November is kicking my ass.

How is this month almost over already? Seriously? Thanksgiving is THIS coming Thursday? Christmas is a month away? Wow. I have been totally and utterly busy this entire month, with NaNoWriMo, being sick, and being stressed. I put in almost 12 hours of work each day this past week except for Monday when I was […]

September summary.

Yeah. I didn’t feel too wordy for most of September, seeing as it’s October now and I’m breaking my month long silence. Fall’s definitely come since I posted my last entry; it’s currently 60 degrees outside and leaves are just starting to turn brilliant colors. I’ve always loved this time of year, from now until […]

A few weekends ago I visited my family in Massachusetts. I hadn’t seen most of them since January, since before I dyed my hair blonde, so it was good to go home and see everyone. I also got to visit with my mom’s penpal from England and her family, who were visiting my folks for […]

Vampires and Shakespeare

So, it’s August. Interesting. Where the heck has summer gone? Wasn’t it just June? I’m amazed at how fast time passes. At this time last year I interviewed for a few new jobs and worked on remodeling the living room of a house I owned. Today, I’ve been at my current job for almost a […]

Questions from Lisanne

I’ve been slacking majorly this week, blog updating-wise. I blame it on a busy week of work, and the fact that the copy of Rock Band that Scott won came in earlier this week. We love us some Rock Band! Anyway. Lisanne asked me a few questions, and I’m finally going to answer them. [1] […]
