New traditions

Happy Friday, everyone! I’m already up to day 4 of my December writing prompts. There aren’t any questions to answer for Saturday or Sunday, so I’ll be back with the next prompt on Monday! I might try to write a post or two over the weekend, however, as I do have other things to say. […]

Fond Christmas memories

Good morning, all! Today I’m writing about traditions that have been passed down to me. I only have one, and it’s only kind of Christmas related, but it still works for me. I have fond Christmas memories with my family. If you have children, what traditions are you trying to instill in them? If you […]

Christmas decorations

Hey, look! Two blog posts in a day! I don’t think I’ve written two posts in a day since maybe 2003, so I’m pretty pumped that I squeezed in two today. I wanted to get caught up on the writing prompts I’m doing all December. Here goes! Do you decorate for the winter holidays? Tell […]

My favorite Christmas traditions

A few years ago, I attempted to write in my blog every day in December, following a set of Christmas-related prompts. I’ve been wanting to do this again, because Christmas is my absolute favorite holiday, but I never found another list of Christmas themed writing prompts I’ve liked. Thanksgiving 2013.

Ted and I celebrated our fourth Thanksgiving together as a couple and our first as a married couple this past Thursday. Over the years, we’ve established our own Thanksgiving traditions, and I’m happy to spend the day with Ted.

Last year, I started a new Thanksgiving tradition – running a Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning! I ran it proudly and felt so happy that I got up and ran in freezing cold temperatures. So, this Thanksgiving, I ran it again. I loved the feeling of running first thing in the morning so I could […]

Jingle Bell 5k race recap!

So, guess what I did on Saturday? That’s right, I ran a sub-30 minute 5k!!! I ran the Jingle Bell 5k here in Portsmouth and crossed the finish line at 29:27, beating my previous PR by 40 seconds. Awesome. I’m not sure what else to say about this race, except that it was small, about […]

Easter 2013

This year, Ted and I made a big Easter dinner for ourselves. We used Easter as an excuse, but since we don’t really celebrate it, it was moe a reason for us to make a Tofurky. We love Tofurky.

Awesomeness is…

Being done with my final. It was about as hard as I thought it would be, but I did as well as I could. I spent all of Monday and Tuesday night studying my butt off for it! I’ll hopefully find out this weekend what I got for a grade. Finishing my Christmas cards! I […]
