Today is Thanksgiving here in the good ol’ US of A. It’s morning and I’m awake while Ted sleeps for a few more hours, before we start the preparations for our vegetarian Thanksgiving, just the two of us. I’m happy to have this time to myself, to reflect on the year so far and to think about what I’m thankful for this holiday season.

Ted at the Cape

First and foremost, Ted. He encourages me, helps me when I’m sad, celebrates with me when good things happen, and is just in general an awesome boyfriend. I’m thankful for him every single day. I’m thankful for the cats, who cuddle and purr and do cute things. I’m thankful for my family; I’m not spending the holiday with them this year, but we’ll be over that way for Christmas before we make the trip to California to spend time with Ted’s family. I’m thankful for friends; new ones, old ones, online and off, I’m thankful for everyone in my life.

I’m thankful to be gainfully employed, to have a roof over my head, and that I never have to worry about not having enough food or water.

I’m thankful for my abilities as a knitter, web developer, and cook.

I’m thankful for the Drupal community and for the internet in general, as I wouldn’t be so gainfully employed if it didn’t exist.

I’m thankful for positivity, for happiness, for being able to make things better.

I’m thankful for you, and me, and everyone.
